In 1917 the Russian land was overpowered by a new ruler: The Soviets. The angel you see is bandaged, in the shape of a person, symbolizing that he has no individual identity, and he is bound to the new rules and law. As he descends, the Soviet hymn "Falling Angel" plays on the gramophone. He carries in his hand the new symbol of the nation: A bloody red rag, which he will erect on yet another church. The church in the background already has the bloody flag atop.
